Lately, I’ve been moving slowly. Grief carries its own weight, and recently it’s been drawing me inward. Gayle’s passing—accompanied with several other passings and changes in my health while coming out of semi retirement due to financial challenges—has opened a door I wasn’t prepared to enter.
But Gayle seemed to be a “final straw” although there were others, she was the last of an Era!
She always referred to us as her sons, and in many ways, she was the mother figure we found in our twenties when we were still half-formed and searching for a place to belong. She was the only “family” who attended our wedding, the last living witness to who we were back then.
And now she’s gone.
With her, the last friend from that time has disappeared.
The rest of my old circle vanished long ago—lost to alcohol, drugs, illness, or simply the gradual erosion of life.
I’ve been mourning Gayle, as well as my mother, and mother-in-law, Aunties, Uncles and friends – yes… but also the end of a constellation I once belonged to. A whole sky of people who shaped me, now reduced to memory. But also more aware of how short our lives are and how much time we waste.
Something is shifting within me.
Something profound.
The readings I’ve been doing lately feel different—deeper, rawer, stripped of the usual structure. Even the Black Friday express readings were part of that change. No session notes, no script, just the chart and the truth it revealed. It felt like the universe speaking without filters.
Maybe grief thins the veil.
Maybe loss sharpens intuition.
Maybe when the past falls away, the cosmos finally has space to speak.
Whatever it is, I’m listening.
And I’m allowing this moment—this strange, aching, beautiful moment—
to reshape me.
It reminds me that we are not merely interpreting the stars; they are speaking through us, if we let them!
If you’ve been following my personal astrology blog, I mentioned the latest trigger to the main major aspect pattern, a kind of personal constellation of planetary alignments in Saturn Neptune and Zero Point Conjunction in a blog post.
The last major activation was when my Chiron Return conjoined with my natal Saturn retrograde in Pisces and the 12th house opposite Uranus conjunct Pluto in Virgo in the 6th house (for my students and astrology enthusiasts), which corresponded with my Parkinson’s diagnosis! There’s much more to it, but that will have to wait for a future post.
Reflecting on these profound cosmic alignments and their impact on my life reminds me of the intricate dance between fate and free will. While the stars may illuminate certain paths, it is ultimately our response and resilience that define our journey. I look forward to sharing my latest insights into your chart as I continue to navigate this complex interplay. Thank you for joining me in this exploration.
